Jeddah, KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIAflyadeal, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s Everyday Low Fares airline, maintains its momentum by continuing to rapidly expand its fleet. It recently welcomed its ninth brand-new leased Airbus A320, which arrived in Jeddah from the Airbus plant in Toulouse, France. This is the first of three brand new aircraft that will join the fleet in the next few weeks.

The new aircraft is named “Al-Zawraq” (The Boat), after one of the brightest stars floating in constellation Eridanus, the dim but ancient celestial river, which was used by the early Arabs to find their way during sea voyages. It is configured exactly the same as other aircraft in flyadeal's fleet - a single-class configuration of 186 18 inch-wide economy class seats, featuring the latest Recaro seats equipped with USB power outlets and personal device holders for smart phones and tablet that cater to Saudi Arabia’s connected travellers.

On this occasion, Con Korfiatis, CEO of flyadeal said: "Receiving the first aircraft from the second phase of our Airbus A320 fleet on this day is truly a special moment because it coincides with the fourth anniversary of King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud’s s ascension to the throne of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The newest addition to our fleet is one of three aircraft expected to arrive by year end and as we continue to meet the growing demand for low fare travel in Saudi Arabia, the brand new A320 CEO aircraft will bring new routes to our current network. Our continuous expansion is a matter of great pride and we feel blessed to be at the forefront of a new travel revolution in the Kingdom that lets everyone fly. We will continue to expand the fleet to meet the growing demand for low-cost travel in the Kingdom, and ensuring that even more Customers can Fly for Less.“

Mr. Korfiatis added: "I would also like to congratulate, on behalf of myself and all flyadeal employees, the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, who tirelessly seeks to secure the best services, security measure and entertainment options for both Citizens and Expats alike, and improving the level of services provided to them across all industries. “flyadeal's achievements in its first year of operation, he went on, would not have been possible without the continuous support the aviation industry has received from the Kingdom’s leadership.
