flyadeal – the Kingdom’s New Low Fare airline is Awarded Air Operator Certificate by GACA
Airline is now licensed to commence commercial operations on Saudi National Day

Jeddah, KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA – GACA today issued flyadeal, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s new Low Fare Airline, with its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) at a special press conference at the their headquarters in Riyadh.
The event was hosted by the President of GACA, His Excellency Captain Abdulhakim bin Muhammad Al Tamimi, and attended by both the Chairman of flyadeal and Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines Corporation, His Excellency Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, and the flyadeal CEO, Con Kortiatis.
In his opening remarks the President of GACA congratulated flyadeal on their achievement. The flyadeal CEO, Con Korfiatis responded by thanking His Excellency Captain Abdulhakim bin Muhammad Al Tamimi and his team for their support. “Your focused support and regulatory guidance over the last few months has helped us reach the highest standards in quality and safety before we commence operations,” he remarked.
The Chairman of flyadeal and Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines Corporation separately thanked GACA for their professionalism and the steadfast support of their team of inspectors. “I have to thank all of you at GACA for helping us deliver this airline on time so that we can commence our flying next week, on National Day,” he added. His Excellency Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser concluded by pointing out that the addition of flyadeal to the Saudi aviation market would help meet the growing demand for travel and offer customers more choice.
